Budapest Impressions + Shopping Tipps

Wie versprochen gibt es heute endlich ein paar mehr Bilder meiner Budapest Reise. Im Weihnachten in Budapest Artikel konntet ihr ja schon einen kleinen Eindruck gewinnen, wie wunderschön die Stadt bei Nacht aussieht. Doch auch bei Tag habe ich jede Menge Fotos geschossen. Aber seht selbst.

Noch ein paar Worte zum Thema Shopping. Normalerweise mache ich ja einen extra Beitrag dazu (wie zu Barcelona oder Mailand), aber diesmal habe ich nur ein paar wenige Tipps für euch. Denn Fakt ist: durch die Umrechnung in ungarische Forint lohnt es sich nicht wirklich in Budapest zu shoppen, da die Preise einfach viel höher sind als bei uns. Auch der Sale kann da nicht helfen!

Ein Trip durch die Budapester Shoppinglandschaft kann trotzdem ganz spannend sein, denn die Shoppingcenter (und davon gibt es eine ganze Menge) sind einfach riesig groß und schon eine Sehenswürdigkeit für sich. Das größe ist das West Ende City Center. Aber auch das Arkad Center und dem Arena Plaza sollte man unbedingt einen Besuch abstatten.

Im Stadtzentrum gibt es auch ein paar Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Besonders cool ist die moderne Shopping Street (ja, die heißt wirklich so), die schließlich in den Vörösmarty Platz mündet, wo es H&M, Bershka, Stradivarius und co. gibt. Von dort gelangt man in die Vaci utca Straße. Hier gibt es unter anderem ein großes Zara.
Die Prachtstraße Budapests ist die Andrassy ut. Neben den Luxusshops von Louis Vuitton und co. befindet sich hier unter anderem die Oper.

Wer mehr auf Vintage steht, sollte sich den Laden "Retrock" nicht entgehen lassen. Wie ihr wisst bin ich bei diesem Thema immer etwas skeptisch, aber der Laden ist alles andere als muffig und klein. Ich möchte mich nicht zu weit aus dem Fenster lehnen, aber für mich ist es einer der coolsten Vintage Shops, in dem ich je war :)

As promised, I show you a few more pictures from my trip to Budapest today. In the "Christmas in Budapest" post you could already gain an impression of how beautiful the city looks at night. But also during the day I have taken a lot of photos. 

A few more words about shopping in Budapest. I usually do an extra article (like for Barcelona or Milan), but this time I only have a few tips for you. The fact is: because of the conversion in Hungarian forint it is not really worth it to go shopping in Budapest, as the prices are simply much higher than ours. Also, the sale can not help there!

Nevertheless a trip through the Budapest shopping landscape can still be very exciting, because the shopping centers (and there are quite a few) are that huge and already a landmark itself. The biggest one is the West End City Center. But also to the Arkad Center and Arena Plaza you should definitely pay a visit.

In the city center there are also a few shops. Especially the modern shopping street (yes, that´s the real name!), which leads into the Vörösmarty square, where you can find H&M, Bershka, Stradivarius and co., is really cool. From there, you can go to Vaci utca street. Among others there is a large Zara.
The boulevard of Budapest is the Andrassy ut. In addition to the luxury shops of Louis Vuitton and co. you can find the opera here.

Those of you, who love Vintage clothes, should definitely visit the shop "Retrock". As you know I'm always a bit skeptical on this issue, but the store is anything but musty and small. For me it is one of the coolest vintage shops, I´ve ever been to :)
